Basis
This is run voluntarily, using 'Chiltern Hill Walks' calendar as a connector to enable walkers in the Chilterns to meet to enjoy guided walks and hikes together, free of charge and with the minimum of fuss.
Important: All walkers participate at their own risk. You are responsible for your own actions and those of your dog if you bring one (or even two, but this is a walking group, not primarily a dog walking group).
Please carry ICE (In-Case of Emergency) details.
Let another walker in the group know if you decide to leave a group walk and that needs to be relayed to the walk leader as soon as possible please so head-counts are correct (especially important for a large group).
To begin with the walks are led by Alan Cooper, who aims to offer a brisk-paced 6-8 mile morning walk most Saturdays with free parking where possible. Starting at 9.15 am, most of these walks pause part-way at a cafe or end at a cafe so we will not be carrying lunch with us and the afternoon is clear for you to get some lunch and do your other activities.
The first walk is on 3rd January 2026. (See: Wind the Clock Walks)
