Description
Mostly footpaths with a long stretch of steep woodland path up and down Crowell Hill near the beginning, the rest of the walk is quite flat. Small amount of pavement walking along quiet roads.
We stop for an opportunity to purchase refreshment before the half way point at the Cherry Tree cafe in Kingston Blount which has toilets for customers. Afterwards we continue to Aston Rowant and back to Chinnor, passing Chinnor Windmill and along the Ridgeway, back to the car park.
Prepare
Some areas are likely to be wet and muddy so dress appropriately for the weather, good boots are essential, not trainers. Walking poles recommended for those who use them.
Dress according to the weather, layers recommended and small rucksack for carrying.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome and will need to be on a lead in some locations.
We’ll probably not encounter livestock on this walk, but mounted horses are likely.
