Description
Mostly footpaths. Very small amount of walking on quiet road etc
We stop for refreshment at Buckmorend Farm Shop and outdoor kitchen 4/5 of the way along. They have a portaloo.
From the car park zig-zag down and follow around the edge of the golf course. Very steeply climb up the nose of Coombe Hill to the monument. Along Bacombe Hill with good views over Aylesbury and some HS2 workings. Rural edge of Wendover, then through woods to Dunsmoor. Past Little Hampden Manor to Buckmorend. Stop for refreshment. Ridgeway path back up Lodge Hill to the carpark.
Prepare
Dress appropriately for the weather, there could be mud so if it has been wet good boots are essential, not trainers. Walking poles recommended for those who use them. Steep hills!
Dress according to the weather, layers recommended and small rucksack for carrying.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome and will need to be on a lead in some locations.
We pass through fields which have potential for sheep, cows or horses.
