Description
This is the one the real hill walkers among us have been waiting for! Warning: very steep hills, rated as strenuous. The ascent is high considering the modest length.
We stop for purchase of optional refreshment at Buckmoorend Farm Shop and outdoor kitchen at about 10.30am. They have a portaloo.
For anyone brave enough to do this walk, there will be some great views in this very beautiful part of Buckinghamshire with varied terrain, chalk escarpment, woodland, nature reserves, a rare boxwood forest and views of Chequers, the prime minister's country mansion.
Prepare
Dress appropriately for the weather, there could be mud so if it has been wet good boots are essential, not trainers. Walking poles recommended for those who use them. Steep hills!
Dress according to the weather, layers recommended and small rucksack for carrying.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome and will need to be on a lead in some locations.
We pass through fields which have potential for sheep, cows or horses.
Booking
Booking not required for this walk.
