Description
Mostly footpaths. Small amount of pavement walking beside road.
We stop for refreshment at the Community Cafe and shop at Wigginton at about 11.00am. Toilet at cafe.
From the Tring Park Woodland Trust carpark, we cross Hastoe Lane and take the low path through Batcock Wood to West Leith and Hang Hill. Past Pains End and up hill on the edge of Dancers End nature reserve and along Pavis Wood to Hastoe. Along Grims Ditch and rather than Wigginton Bottom where there is a path that floods, we will take a well-trodden route not on Ordnance Survey to Wigginton where we stop for refreshment. Back through Tring Park.
Prepare
Dress appropriately for the weather, there could be mud so if it has been wet good boots are essential, not trainers. Walking poles recommended for those who use them.
Dress according to the weather, layers recommended and small rucksack for carrying.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome and will need to be on a lead in some locations.
We will pass through fields which have potential for sheep, cows or horses.
Booking
Booking not required for this walk.
