Description
Quite a hilly walk. Mostly footpaths. A few stiles.
From the car park we walk to the Whiteleaf Hill Viewpoint before descending along chalky path past Whiteleaf Golf Club to Lower Cadsden. Through Grangelands and Riflerange Nature Reserve along the Ridgeway path. Stop at about 10.15am at Buckmoorend outdoor kitchen and farm shop where hot and cold drinks and food are available and a portaloo. Intermittent woodland to Little Hampden Common, Little Hampden and Dirtywood Farm. At Ninn Wood we drop to the Hangings before a final climb up Whiteleaf Hill and back to the carpark.
Prepare
Dress appropriately for the weather, if it's forecast to be hot you will need plenty of water to drink. Walking poles recommended for those who use them.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome and may need to be on a lead in some locations.
We will pass through fields which have potential for sheep, cows or horses.
