Description
Mostly footpaths. Small amount of road walking. Much of the walk is quite flat but there are a few gentle hills, one steep descent down Windsor Hill before our cafe stop and a long steep hill near the end of the walk with steps.
From the car park we walk directly to Hampden House and a Southerly route to Great Hampden and Hampden Common. Woodlands to Redland End and Brimmers Hill Road where there will be a short section of walking along the road before turning off along footpaths to pass Pyrtle Spring. We will stop in Princes Risborough for refreshments at the Crew Cafe in Stratton Road behind the Mount carpark. Afterwards it is back along the Ridgeway Path and up the steep steps of Brush Hill with a good view at the end.
Prepare
Dress appropriately for the weather, there could be mud so if it has been wet good boots are essential with good grip. Walking poles recommended for those who use them.
Dress according to the weather, layers recommended and small rucksack for carrying.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome and will need to be on a lead in some locations.
We will pass through fields which have potential for sheep, cows or horses. There have sometimes been Herdwick sheep on Brush Hill.
