Description
Mostly footpaths in woodland, fields and Dancersend Nature Reserve.
Two short stretches of secondary roads with intermittent light traffic.
This will be, as usual, a brisk-paced walk with quite a few hills.
We expect the woodlands to show some lovely Autumn colours and perhaps some interesting fungi.
We stop for toilets and refreshment for about 30 minutes at the Natural England cafe at the Wendover Woods Visitor Centre at about 11.40am where hot and cold food and drinks are available to purchase.
Prepare
Dress appropriately for the weather, there could be mud so if it has been wet good boots are essential. Walking poles recommended for those who use them.
Dress according to the weather, layers recommended and small rucksack for carrying.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome and will need to be on a lead in some locations.
We will pass through fields which have potential for sheep, cows or horses.
